This historic steam locomotive with twenty passenger cars traveled round-trip from Hoboken, NJ to Port Jervis, NY. I recorded it northbound through Suffern, NY in the morning and in the evening southbound though Mahwah, NJ., where the whistle was blown. ~ This was recorded in October 1998 using a three microphone stereo array recorded through a field production mixer to a rotating head digital audio tape recorder.
